About us
Good food, good vibes and good times on Kiewa Street since December 2019.
In loving memory
Co-owner and executive chef of 2640 Restaurant and Bar
Andy grew up in Yerong Creek in the Riverina. As a kid he loved putting dinner together for his family and making pancakes on the weekend.
His dad worked on properties around the district and often came home with farm fresh produce like lamb. That respect for good local produce shaped the Modern Australian menu Andy created when 2640 opened on Kiewa Street in December 2019.
For Andy, eating out should be an escape. He wanted everyone who walked through our door to feel at home, but away too. We will keep cooking and welcoming you in that spirit.
Thank you, Andy.
Our kitchen
Our menu is Modern Australian, built around good local produce and cooked fresh by our kitchen team.
Plenty is made in house, from the hollandaise and hash browns at breakfast to the sticky date pudding and butterscotch sauce at night.

The mural
The first thing most people notice is the mural. Painted floor to ceiling by local artist Kade Sarte, it pays homage to everything Albury-Wodonga.
Look closely and you will find Monument Hill, the Hume Dam wall, the Bethanga Bridge and the Flying Fruit Fly Circus.
